THIS IS WHAT WE BELIEVE

And you can belong here as you explore these beliefs.

We hold firmly to the biblical essentials of the Christian Faith, while holding loosely to the non-essentials. There is a great unity and diversity here that you will find refreshing.
  • The Bible

We believe the Bible is the God-breathed word of Truth, unlike any other. Contained in the records and history of the Bible is the story of God’s love for the world.

Through it we see who God is, what God does, and how to have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

We look to the Bible as the final answer for all matters of faith, life, relationships to God, to others and to the world around us.

  • God

We believe that God has no beginning and end.

God exists beyond time and space as we understand it. God exists in three distinct but co-equal and co-eternal persons as Father, Son (Jesus Christ) and Holy Spirit, sometimes referred to as the Trinity.

God created the universe and all else in a mysterious way that we may never understand.

God is revealed in the Bible as all-knowing, all-powerful and all-present.

God’s most important attribute is that of God’s love. In love God has chosen to have a relationship with anyone who will believe in His Son, Jesus Christ and accept his forgiveness of their sins.

  • Jesus Christ

We believe the life story of Jesus is true. His life, death and resurrection occurred exactly as the Bible states.

We believe that forgiveness for our sins and hope for a restored relationship with God only happens through Jesus.

When we become a Christ follower our sin is forgiven and our relationship as a child of God begins forever.

We believe that Jesus, according to the Bible, will one day return to take to heaven those who have committed their lives to Him.

Jesus is the second person in the Trinity, co-equal and co-eternal with God the Father and the Holy Spirit.

  • Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is present and real in every Christ follower.

The Holy Spirit is God and empowers believers with the power to grow spiritually, to hear God clearly, and to carry out God’s will.

We believe the Holy Spirit gives supernatural gifts to every believer that will cause the Church to function appropriately and that these gifts will demonstrate the power of God even to those who do not choose to follow God.

The Holy Spirit is the third person in the Trinity, co-equal and co-eternal with God the Father and Jesus Christ.

  • Salvation

The hope of Eternal Life and freedom from hell are only found in the person of Jesus Christ.

You can become a Christ follower by believing in Jesus Christ as the forgiver of your sins and the leader of your life.

    John 3:16

  • The Church

The Church includes every Christ follower throughout history and in the entire world.

A local church is a group of Christ followers who meet together in order to grow closer to God and each other, find instruction and fulfillment for their lives and partner together to support the ministry and mission of Jesus Christ in their community, country and in the world.

  • Baptism and the Lord's Supper

We celebrate two directives given by Jesus Christ.

Baptism is for anyone who confesses belief in Jesus Christ as the forgiver of their sins and leader of their life. It is a public sign that a person is committed to following Jesus, a personal act of declaring our life to be completely devoted to God.

The Lord’s Supper is a celebration and remembrance of Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection. It represents the broken body of Jesus on the cross and his spilled blood that washes our sins away.

(We believe that, though neither of these acts bring salvation or an eternal relationship with God, they are inherent in the process God has chosen for Christ followers as a witness to the world.)
